Andre Miller Among League's Most Coveted

The Sixers are a bit of a conundrum lately.  First they rid the organization of the Billy King era -- a move most of the basketball world agreed with.  Now that they've brought in local boy Ed Stefanksi to run the show, the Sixers have decided to try something new.  Winning.

That's where I think it gets tricky.  The age old, "this team can't really win anything so they may as well lose for the future" debate starts.  Whatever, I like to see my team throw together a couple wins and look good doing it.

That could all change with the drop of a hat.  Or more precisely the pull of a trigger by Ed Stefanski.  It's been well documented that he's entertaining everything and everyone.

ESPN has Andre Miller listed as the second most desirable guy this trade season.

Asked last weekend whether the Sixers were getting a lot of trade
calls, new general manager Ed Stefanski said: "No, we're the ones
making the calls."

It's
hard to see why Philadelphia wouldn't be willing to ship Miller to
Miami for Williams if the Heat were willing to give up an unprotected
No. 1 pick in the 2010 draft, but there is talk that Miller is not
Riley's kind of player. Of course, they said that about Ricky Davis, too.

The Williams mentioned is Jason of Miami, who has a much desired expiring contract.  If the Sixers could get him and a number one, Ed Stefanski could be off to a nice little start to his tenure as Philadelphia's newest GM.
