Another Test Awaits Flyers in Jersey

If the Flyers haven't been on your radar for whatever reason (Phils hangover, not a hockey fan, still focused on the Eagles, etc.), now would be a good time to check in and see what's happening. Because no joke—this team has what it takes to go deep into the playoffs, if not all the way.

They're being tested in big games, and they're meeting almost everything that comes their way. Their offense is as good as I've ever seen from a Flyers team, with a lot of production out of a few big guns, but also a ton of balance.

Today is yet another tough game, with the Flyers up in Newark to face the rival devils.

So far in the season series, the Flyers have won two of three, dropping their last meeting on December 4. The second day of back-to-back games can be tricky, but coming off a 7-1 win, there might actually be some advantage for the Flyers. Let's hope so anyway. These two teams are neck and neck in the standings, with the Flyers holding a slight advantage, but also two games in hand. It's still relatively early in the long season, but you get the feeling the standings will be tight all the way, so every Atlantic Division game has meaning.

Opposing Players to Watch: Zach Parise has been on fire, leading the Devils in every offensive category. He had four assists against the Sens on Friday in a 5-1 Jersey win... Scott Clemmensen will be in net to face Niitty, who has had trouble with the Devils in the past.

Enjoy this appetizer for the Eagles game at 4, and Go Vikings!
