Sorry to keep clogging up your RSS feeds with this story, but we know how much you enjoy conspiracy tales and foul play accusations... 

We've all seen the replay of the Gagne non-goal from Thursday's win over the Penguins, and even though we've been over it and the Flyers won, it still pisses us off to find out that the tell-tale feed wasn't given to the NHL after the puck was dropped to resume play. We'd assumed the league had all the angles we did, but had made its decision based on a terrible interpretation of its own rules. We thought it was possible that FSN withheld the video from Toronto just as it did the Pittsburgh fans, but not all that likely. 

Wrong. 

“… An NHL executive said last night that replay officials in Toronto were not given the proper replays by Fox Sports in Pittsburgh on Thursday, when they ruled that Simon Gagne’s goal did not count against the host Penguins … "

That's us quoting Ryan Bright quoting Sam Carchidi quoting an NHL exec. So, there would have to be some form of penalty for usurping the league's ability to keep the ice surface level, right? Given the criticism the league's shady review process has received, an incident like this should cause the league to rehab their procedure, right? I mean, throat slash gestures cost players a few thou, so...
