The world of boxing righted the wrong that was done to Bernard Hopkins in his fight over Chad Dawson. After reviewing the fight, the WBC has ruled a technical draw, returning the light heavyweight belt to B-Hop.
From the AP, "The WBC reviewed video of the fight and unanimously declared Thursday
that the action reflects a clear intentional lifting the body followed
with a push by Dawson to Hopkins that made him fall on his left side
with part of his body out of the ropes."
While personal opinions of the Executioner may vary, nobody likes to see a legend of the sport go out the way Saturday night's fight played out, so it's great to see the WBC wised up. Plus, B-Hop is ready to get back at it.
