Brady to StallworthTouchdown!

Get used to hearing that...  The talented deep threat reportedly agreed to a deal with the Patriots today for 6 years, $30 million, according to ESPN.com. A similar deal was said to have been in place last week, but the reports were premature. No word yet on whether Tom Brady celebrated by again proving his place among the man gods and impregnating a woman who is out of the league of us mortals.

Stallworth missed 4 games last season
and didn't put up consistently amazing numbers, instead registering a string of feast-or-famine games. But he was clearly the cream of the Eagles WR crop--a burner with good hands who helped spread the offense by drawing attention, so his departure still creates a big hole at WR,
where the Eagles predictably say they're comfortable with Reggie Brown, Jason
Avant, Greg Lewis, and Hank Baskett. The same four young-unprovens were
on the squad last year, and right after the Birds said they were happy
with that group, they went out and got Stallworth. Hopefully they're
planning on something similar this off-season. So far, this free agency period has been marked by its departures, with little in the way of impact arrivals.

Although there is said to be mutual interest between RB Corey Dillon and the Birds...

UPDATE: Initial reports saying 6 years with $12 million guaranteed were off.  Stallworth is only guaranteed 1 year at $3.8 million.  This low number should anger Eagles fans a bit more.
