On September 29, 2009, Braydon Coburn fought Owen Nolan in preseason action, with judges scoring heavily in ol' man Nolan's favor. After abstaining from pugilism for the full regular season, Coburn dropped the gloves on the one year anniversary of that bout, this time with better results.

Dan Carcillo also threw down last night. His bout was uneventful until Chico's head hit the ice when he fell with dance partner Travis "Artificial" Hamonic's weight on top of him.
