Canada Tops USA at WJC, But vanRiemsdyk Scores Again

With the Flyers letting us down after a long wait this week, the lone bright spot for Philly hockey fans tonight is that James vanRiemsdyk scored another goal at the World Junior Championships. vanRiemsdyk, the Flyers top pick and second overall at the 2007 draft, has 5 goals in as many games at the future stars showcase. Unfortunately, Team USA lost to Canada, and now must settle for a bronze medal consolation game against Team Russia.

The Flyers were blanked by the Devils, and are now 1-16-1 in their last 18 against Martin Brodeur (according to the radio broadcast). The Flyers haven't taken a road game against the Devils in their last 11 attempts. Up next is a match-up with Toronto tomorrow at 7PM.
