Deadline Day: Should First Place Flyers Make Moves?

Share

The NHL trade deadline day is upon us, which is usually a busy time forthe Flyers. However, seated in first place and already having made somemoves, Paul Holmgren may not be as active as usual this time around. TimPanaccio says a deal for a forward may entice them, having already shored up defensive depth by claiming Nick Boynton

We thought we'd open up a quick thread here for people toweigh in on what the Flyers might do, as well as what you'd want themto do (or not do). Anyone Reason-able on your wishlist? Should theystand pat and just work on having the current roster gel into the forceit has been for most of the season, but has lapsed away from recently? Also, feel free to shout anything you're hearing that has legs.

Also, if you'd like to play along. From commenter Beardface:

So its deadline day.The day for the rest of the league to make thatone move to catch up to the level of the Flyers and for the Flyers tocompletely cement their position as the team to beat in the league.

Got a mini contest for today for bragging rights on the board.Name the following.

Biggest move in the league.

-Player moved gets 1 point, team improved the most gets 1 point, 3 points for a perfect guess

-Biggest pickup by the Flyers. (3 points for a correct guess)

-Considering the deadline is at 3, lets cut off the guesses at 12
