One of the best athletes to ever come out of my alma mater, Malvern Prep, was a guest on CSN's Lunch Break this afternoon to share his thoughts on this year's Phillies squad. A former MLB catcher, Ben Davis shared some insight as to what goes on out at the mound and whether a catcher can/should influence a manager's decision to leave a pitcher in a ball game. There's nothing groundbreaking, but it's always nice to check in with one of the greats from your high school.
Also of note, Rob Kuestner passes along the info that the Phillies will hold a press conference on Monday with all five of the Phils starting pitchers down in Clearwater. So look for that on Comcast SportsNet on Monday.
