GCobb to Charge for Content

Did you see GCobb is going to charge $10 a month membership fee?  It's the lead story on GCobb.com.  I like Gary Cobb, but spending $120 a year to get so called exclusive information is a bit steep.  I can go to deadspin.com, the700level.com, and profootballtalk.com and get better insight an analysis regarding the Philly sports team for free than paying exclusive membership fees.  In addition, Gary rarely runs his columns through a spelling and grammar check.  Sometimes, he makes Michael Irvin resemble a Rhodes Scholar and he has that awful stuttering problem that has lasted the past 18 years.

What's next, Dave Spadaro charging Eagles fans for his INSIDE the EAGLES column on philadelphiaeagles.com.  Oops Joe Banner might take that idea and run with it.

I used to dislike G. Cobb on the airwaves, but he's grown on me a bit.  He has a point of view from being a former player that the average fan simply cannot have.  His website seems like a decent blog, not some sort of ESPN Insider or NYTimes Select.  I'd wager that he won't keep his content a paid feature very long.  Only because nobody is going to pay for it.
