The Daily News went down to Jason Peters' hometown of Queen City, Texas to learn more about the Eagles biggest off season acquisition. Not surprisingly, the guy was always an athlete whose speed was shocking given his immense size. Turns out, Peters agrees that size matters and has that phrase emblazoned on his 1974 Impala. Oh, and they also scored one of "Big Pete's" 1998 prom photos as you can see below.
The Daily News piece touches on the his love of cars but Peters doesn't just go out and buy a brand new chromed out Ferrari with his new cash from the Birds. He prefers to buy old, cheaper fixer-uppers and put a little elbow grease into them.
Aside from cars and the occasional practical joke, Peters keeps it simple. He's not hip to jet setting around the world or really going anywhere for that matter. Peters notes, "I don't go on vacation trips. I've got my passport, but I don't use
it. It's family first. I usually just go home and stay over at my mom's
house and we all just get together every day and play cards and
dominoes, listen to music . . . just hang out."
