Philadelphia Phillies slugger and defending Home Run Derby champion Ryan Howard failed to get any balls wet in San Francisco. Most in attendance had hoped to see Howard hit a few into McCovey Cove at AT&T Park. The Big Guy only managed to get three out of the playing field and never found his groove.
To be honest, the second Howard failed to advance I turned the Derby off. Am I missing something or was the derby just boring?
For those hoping to see a Phillies player make a splash, look for stud second baseman Chase Utley batting in the eight hole in tonight's All Star Game. Cole Hamels and Aaron Rowand will also get to see some action.
