Howard's Season Not Over

Share

The Phillies sure didn't make it to the post season, but that doesn't mean Ryan Howard won't get a chance to hit a few bombs around the world.  Literally:

Philadelphia Phillies slugger Ryan
Howard and Minnesota Twins Cy Young candidate Johan Santana
headline Major League Baseball's team to take on a Japanese
All-Star lineup in Japan next month.
...
Howard, who led the Major League in homers this season with
58, will be joined in Japan by team mate Chase Utley, who had a
35-game hitting streak this season, and the Twins Joe Mauer,
winner of the Major League batting title.

The Mets and the Phillies will team up for perhaps the scariest young infield ever consisting of Howard, Utley, Reyes, and Wright.
