Kris Versteeg Makes Philly Debut Tonight, Could Use Some New Clothes

The Flyers will return to the comfort of the Wells Fargo Center tonight to take on the hot Phoenix Coyotes. They'll be bringing Kris Versteeg into the building for the first time as a Flyer.

It was just eight months ago that Versteeg was hoisting some cup in the orange and black's home building. A sensitive subject, to be sure. Hopefully he can do that for the Flyers in a couple of months.

Regardless of the past, Versteeg is pumped to be a part of the Flyers title run this season. "I'm really excited. I said it before -- this is a really intimidatingbuilding to come into and play and now that I'm on the right side, I'mexcited about it," Versteeg told NHL.com.

Kris also sat down with the Flyers' Brian Smith to talk about his debut in Philadelphia this evening.

Versteeg's life has been rather hectic with the trade and the Flyers' road trip. He finally had a chance to relax and have dinner in town last night.

"It's been a whirl wind," Versteeg said of the last week. "I only had one pair of clothes. We were on a one night road trip in Toronto and I ended up getting the news. So I had to go out and buy a few more clothes."

Make him feel at home, will ya? Maybe lend him a few thousands hats? He'd have to put in some real work for that one.
