Kyle Kendrick Proposes to Stephenie LaGrossa, Then Shuts Down Rochester in a Tuxedo Jersey

Poor Kyle Kendrick. First he was duped into thinking he was traded to Japan, which is as technically feasible as being traded to the future. Then he fell out of the Phillies rotation after a season or so in the sun, and he is currently biding his time with the Phils' triple-A affiliate in the Lehigh Valley. Wearing a tuxedo jersey while he mows down opposing hitters...

Of course I'm kidding, and Kyle seems to be living a pretty full life aside from last night's attire. Earlier this week, he proposed to Delco native, Temple/Monmouth product, and Survivor star Stephenie LaGrossa, who accepted.

You may remember these sultry photos of the couple? Anyway, in his first start after the proposal, Killer K and his teammates were decked out in some ridiculous tuxedo-style jerseys, celebrating the pregame wedding of Kelly Johnson and Matt Stoudt. (I have no idea who the lucky couple is, and the three articles I've read recapping the game don't indicate anything more; I'm assuming that's not the Kelly Johnson who plays for the Braves, or we might have heard about it already.)
Kendrick fans will be happy to know that he pitched well, allowing two runs on five hits in eight innings. New teammate Michael Taylor was 0-3 at the dish.
