Manny Just Needed Some Manny Time in the Ninth

By now, we're all pretty tired of the "Manny being Manny" cliché, particularly after he was instrumental in the Dodgers' victory over the Phillies last night. But I'll be damned if he doesn't just keep living up to the moniker.

In the ninth inning of last night's game, when the Dodgers took the field, they were absent one left fielder. It seems there was a miscommunication between Manny and manager Joe Torre, whereby Manny thought his night was done (the ol' Pat Burrell defensive replacement). He left the dugout for the clubhouse, and apparently went to the john and sat down for a nap, where someone found him and told him he was holding up the game. All parties involved laughed off the situation, because really, how can you not.

Manny being Manny > Brett being Brett.
