You probably don't even know who this is, but he retired on Sunday prior to the Phillies victory over the Red Sox.  I don't know much of anything about Alex Gonzalez but I do know he was doing nothing but hurting the Phillies.  He was batting a whopping .111 in his limited role off the bench.  To add an ironic twist, Gozalez's decision to retire makes another ball players dream come true.  The Phillies are bringing up journeyman  Chris Coste:

After 12 seasons in the minors, Coste finally is a big leaguer at age 33.

Coste was only hitting .177 with 2 homers and
14 RBIs in 39 games for Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre, but he batted .292 with
20 homers and 89 RBIs in Triple-A last season and opened more eyes this
spring with a .463 Grapefruit League average.
