Mets Fans Expanding Their Vocabulary

Share

When you think of a typical Mets fan, a bookworm doesn't come to mind. But desperate times call for desperate measures and now they're inventing new words to add to the already complex English language.

Citifelled

Definitions:

1: a tragicomic means of injuring oneself
2: to die by means unexpected, and usually ironic
3: to commit a pratfall
4: to fail suddenly and in full view in spite of preparation and a clear path to success

I highly suggest you head over to What Would Oakley Do? to read the etymology of the word and examples of it in use. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon laugh.
