Penn State Student Builds Another “Epic” Beer Pong Table

Share

Back during the Phillies most recent World Series run a group of intrepid Penn State students made an "epic" beer pong table honoring the team's efforts. That table included "two cases of
the Phillies limited edition Budweiser aluminum bottles for the center
of the
table." Their efforts have inspired other collegiate craftsmen to put their skill at work to try and top that table as the best in all of Penn State land. [more photos below]

The table's creator, Eric Miller, writes in noting that he was inspired by the previous groups' effort and wanted to match their table and create another "epic" creation.

Eric writes of the details on the table:

The table is made out of a
wooden frame and trim that was all hand built. There are about 1800
blank beer
caps glued to the surface which I covered with epoxy resin to
encapsulate the
caps and leave a beautiful glossy glassy finish. The table took about 80
man
hours to make and had its share of bumps in the road. It took me about 2
months
to complete. The whole design is beer caps except for the field markings
which
are done with vinyl cut-outs. I recently refinished my basement and
needed an
awesome party piece which happened to end up being this table. I am
going into
my senior year at Penn State.
