If you want to look at the glass half full, the Mets are now in a prime position to choke away another first place lead heading into the post season. Joking aside, this Phils team hasn't been exuding confidence as of late. Except for Brett Myers, which seems to make sense. You know, because he sucks.
Anyway, Jamie Moyer looked really sharp. Love that guy. But so did Oliver Perez who was helped out of a jam but otherwise pitched a nice outing for the Metros.
I don't believe this series was the make or break message sender that many were anticipating. It's unfortunate that the Phils are now in second but even if they were in first they'd still need to step their game up.
