Quotable: Andy Reid Knows the Pro Bowl

Share

Never say losing four conference title games doesn't have its perks. While the winning coaches move on for a chance at professional football's greatest prize, the losers get a free trip to Hawaii and the opportunity to coach the league's best players (who bother to show up) in the Pro Bowl. Big Red obviously has plenty of experience in the big game, and it sounds like he's already preparing for this year's showdown.

"Shouldn't the NFC get an extra guy because he's the [all-pro] return man and a receiver?'' Andy Reid asked me the other day. Good question.

He actually had a point. The league announced yesterday Jackson will only be designated the position where he received the most votes, which was wide receiver.

Before Andy starts formulating when he'll get everybody into the game, maybe he should take stock in the fact that this year's game is being played in Miami. Not exactly a tropical paradise...
