Quotable: Donovan McNabb Consults Madam Marie

Share

Okay, so it wasn't Madam Marie. She sadly passed away recently, but McNabb says a psychic told him he'd be back in Philadelphia. This dude never stops.

"I have a psychic and she told me; she said, 'Good things are to happen
in Philadelphia and it's going to be really good for you,' " McNabb
said while doing his best Jamaican psychic impersonation. " 'Just
relax. You'll get what you need.' "

Hmm. Is Miss Clio Jamaican? Maybe it was her? Seriously though, you have to admire the way McNabb's handling the deluge of inquires about his future.

DeSean Jackson, who seems to be enjoying himself in Miami as well, was asked about the Birds' quarterback situation and says the looming decision is huge.

From the Inquirer:.

"I don't sense no problem," he said after fooling around with McNabb
during the NFC's practice. "People are going to have their own
perception about what happens on the field. The biggest thing is . . .
we're teammates. It's a tough situation. Donovan has been here a long
time and Kolb is a part of the whole group also. There aren't
favorites. It's not, 'I like him better.' We're a team."

Pretty solid response from the youngster. Don seems to have taught him well.

Another interesting quote from the DeSean article related to Brian Westbrook's future on the football field. McNabb says he's talked to Westy recently and what Donovan relays seems to be quite different from what Howard Eskin reported a few weeks back.

"He's feeling great," McNabb said. "He looks forward to getting back.
For all the talk about retirement and whatever it may be, it's all
false."
