Reggie White Tribute

For those of you who don't frequent the Philadelphia Eagles official site, they have been doing a rather nice job with their content for the Reggie White tribute in coordination with all of the festivities going on tonight.  Reggie's number is officially being retired at tonight's game against the Seatle Seahawks.  There are video interviews with Merrill Reese, Garry Cobb, Andy Reid, Chris Berman as well as testimonials by Clyde Simmons, Keith Byars, Mike Pitts, Mike Golic.  There is a four part video real that is definitely worth checking out for any Eagles fan.

Last week while browsing the Eagles site, I was thinking back on my memories of Reggie.  I remembered when I was maybe 10 so I drew or painted a picture of one of Reggie's football cards I had.  I remember thinking to myself what a great job I had done and being really happy with my work.  Last week I went into the attic where my parents still have amazing amounts of old stuff in search of the drawing.  This was like looking for a needle in a haystack.  I unfortunately did not find the drawing.  I did find a painting I made of Shaq's locker with his jersey from the Orlando Magic and I even dated it '93.  In my search, I found some great football/baseball/basketball cards.  In a pile of random basketball cards (I think it was mostly Stadium Club) I came across, miraculously, the card I think I tried to replicate when I was 10 or so.  I believe it is Reggie's Topps rookie card.  What are the odds that I would have found this among thousands of cards?  I took a picture of the card next to Scott's starting lineup of Reggie.  That is my tribute to the late great Reggie White.

My camera's batteries are perpetually dead, so I had to use my crappy cellphone camera.
