Reno 911; Moats Doesn't Mess Around

Share

The Eagles lost to the Giants in an overtime effort.  This loss upsets me more than the blowout last week against Seattle simply because I hate the Giants.  Allowing the Giants to beat you at home is a horrible thing.  Giving Eli, who loves interceptions, the joy of victory irks me.

The Eagles played okay for the squad they had out there.  What I was wondering is what hap pend to Ryan Moats down the wire?  He looked like a mini Westbrook in the first half breaking some nice runs.  I am not a fan of Reno Mahe getting the bulk of the carries in clutch situations.  I suppose it doesn't really matter in the end.  Moats was back to his blogging self early Sunday evening commenting on the loss:

We played our hearts out. We played to the bloody end. Our defense
played awesome. We were supposed to win this game as a team, but we
didn't get it. We're going to pick it back up.

Last night, I met
with Coach Shuey after all the meetings for an hour to beat in
protections and knowing the checks and all that type of stuff. I had a
feeling in my mind during practice this week that I got it. I felt that
I had gotten the look off the run. I felt that I would run better in
this game.

It's hard not to like this kids attitude.  It is a pretty interesting idea to get inside of a players head in blog form.  I enjoy the fact that you can hear straight from the MVP of the game for the Eagles on whatever topic he feels necessary.  Nice addition to PhiladelphiaEagles.com  As of early Monday morning the Bunny Blog was silent on the loss.

I suppose a loss is better for the Eagles in the long run, moving them into a better position on draft day, but it still hurts the morale of the city and team to lose to the stinking Giants.
