Sixers Streak Stretches to Seven

The Sixers were no match last night to the San Antonio Spurs but did in fact put in one of their best efforts of the season.

The boys put together a few wins after former GM Billy King was given his walking papers and the Ed Stefanski era looked a bit brighter.  Things have settled down a bit and with the trade of Kyle Korver making the Sixers lineup increasingly lacking in cute, white guy talent, the team has lost seven games in a row.

If they have one thing going for them, they're certainly young.  At one point in the game after Andre Miller came out with an eye contusion, they went with an incredibly young bunch, fielding "a lineup of rookies Thaddeus Young and Jason Smith, second-year guard
Rodney Carney, third-year guard Lou Williams, and the old man of the
crew, the 26-year-old Dalembert."

In the end, these youngsters couldn't turn the Sixers luck around against the Spurs who have won 20 of 21 against Philadelphia in games played in Texas.
