Tell Us What You Really Think of Sarge

The Philadelphia Phillies want to know what the fans think of their TV and Radio announcers.  In an email today, they ask the fans to participate in a quick survey.

Dear Phillies Fan:

We are aware that you may have already received a survey invitation
from the Phillies within the past month; however, we would like to ask
for your help once again on a very important issue.

Below, you'll find a link to a survey about the Phillies TV and Radio broadcasts.
This survey will take just 2-3 minutes to complete, and will provide us
with valuable feedback as we continue to plan for 2008. We would
greatly appreciate it if you could take a few minutes out of your day
to click on the link below and respond to this brief survey.

I think this survey would be much more effective -- and highly entertaining -- if the Phillies were to post the results online.  Could you imagine watching the Phillies trying to justify keeping Gary Matthews in the booth after a 4% approval rating?

In other Phillies news, Pat Gillick doesn't seem ready to have an amazing off-season.

"I don't know that [third base] is going to be addressed," Pat Gillick
said as the annual general manager meetings got under way yesterday at
the posh Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress resort. "We'll go with [Wes] Helms
and [Greg] Dobbs. Because we're going to concentrate on pitching. If we
go in any direction, we're going to concentrate on pitching.''

Let's see.  You probably aren't going to address third at all and if you go in any direction, you're going to concentrate on pitching?  What do you mean if?  IF?   IF!?!? Ugh.
