The Advent of Kolb Will Have to Wait

Share

After Donovan McNabb returned and did little to revive the offense, there was some speculation as to whether we'd see Kevin Kolb start in two weeks if the Birds lost to Dallas on Sunday. But Andy Reid put an end to that talk in his press conference today:

When asked point blank whether Donovan McNabb would
be the quarterback for the rest of the season, even if the Eagles are
eliminated from the playoff chase, Reid responded with a concise "Yes."

Well that answers the question of whether we will see what Kolb has learned in his time as a clipboard holder, but still open for debate is whether we should.

Injury updates: L.J. Smith has no structural damage to his knee per his MRI today, but there is a cartilage tear in his ribs. Mike Patterson has an ankle sprain, Shawn Andrews should be OK, but Correll Buckhalter has a concussion (and who wouldn't? Did you see that hit? He got...). We can expect to see Tony Hunt likely take Buck's spot backing up Brian Westbrook.
