The Bodies Hit the Floor: Flyers Test Depth in Colorado

Share

Remember when we were all—Oh, the Flyers schedule is so weeeird! It seems like they never plaaay, etc.? Well, now we're seeing the yin to that yang, with two straight weeks of games on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, which has to be rough on the players who are also on a long-distance road trip. They've dropped a few lately, both in the L column and off the roster.

Blair Betts, Arron Asham, and Darroll Powe have all been shelved. Andreas Nodl and Jared Ross have been called up (over?) and will join David Laliberte on the fourth line. Fortunately, aside from Simon Gags, the top lines are relatively healthy. They have, however, been shuffled up, with Carter centering Hartnell and Giroux (Red Light District line), Richie has JVR and Briere (Porridge Line), and Mika Pyorala will be flank-steaked by Carcillo and Lappy (The Transient Nature of Hockey Rosters Line).

Ray Emery will start yet again, facing the 'Lanche's Craig Anderson.

Alright Fly-toms, get out there and find out if Colorado's overrated.
