Wow, 19 shots in a row: [NYT]
The Houston Rockets held the Philadelphia 76ers without a field goal for more than 15 minutes in the second half of the Rockets' 87-81 victory last night.
Only free throws kept the 76ers in the game after an incredible stretch
of offensive ineptness. They did not score from 4 minutes 41 seconds in
the third to 1:05 in the fourth — 15:36 over all. They missed 19 shots
in a row and nearly became the second team in the past week to go
without a field goal in the fourth quarter after the Kings went 0 for
20 against Utah on Friday.

BILLY KING, walking toward the 76ers' locker room after an 87-81 loss
to the Houston Rockets last night, glanced at a suburban beat writer
who still has some media-level game left and mouthed, "Can you shoot?"
Dear Billy,
We know you don't know what it means to be a good GM, but the last thing we need is Marcus Hayes out there trying to score. You, like the Sixers, stink.
