Tiger Woods Comes to Philadelphia for the AT&T National at Aronimink Golf Course

Tiger Woods is in town for the AT&T National taking place all weekend at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square. The tournament Woods founded had previously been held outside of Washington, DC, but Tiger seems pretty excited to bring the event to the Philadelphia area.

"I think it's incredible. So far, the participation, the enthusiasm, the support we've gotten from this whole Philly area has been just unbelievable. This is a great sporting town, period. For us to have the opportunity to come here and play on another great golf course and then have the support we've had, I'm gonna tell ya, it's a really warm feeling," Tiger said of bringing his event to Philly.

We'll be heading over to Aronimink on Friday to watch from the gallery. Being total golf novices, we're not really sure what to expect. Any Level readers with any pointers, feel free to share in the comments. Do I have to wear funny shoes? [video below]

This will be my first ever trip to a round of PGA tournament play, although I did walk a few holes with Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson during a practice round at this same Aronimink course a number of years ago at a senior event.

Any tips on how to take in a tournament like the AT&T National are highly encouraged. Should we stalk Woods' entire round? Camp out at the 17th? Find the nearest beer tent? There's beer, right?

We'll likely have some random thoughts on the event throughout the weekend. But frankly, I'm a bit scared I'll have to part with my iPhone for a few hours. A separation anxiety breakdown is likely to occur.

Anyone else heading to the tourney this week?

Oh yeah, Boyz II Men supposedly sang the National Anthem today for the Pro-Am. Their horrible sweater vests probably fit in for once.
