Enrico and I will be heading down to the Wachovia Center for the double header today, first the Flyers at 1, then the Sixers later tonight, where we will be joined by Kulp, Meech, and Clare. If anyone's around for the games, feel free to say hello. I think we'll be at Chickie's and Pete's in between (which should make for an interesting night at the Sixers).
The Capitals are in town, riding a five-game winning streak, and they'll be looking for revenge in the first contest between the two teams since the Flyers sent them packing in last season's playoffs.
Both clubs will recognize faces on the other bench, with little turnover from last season. Earlier in the week, Caps head coach Bruce Boudreau commented that there "isn't a lot of like" between the two teams. sic. Hopefully we'll get to see a little bit of that today.

Opposing Players to Watch: I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Alex Ovechkin. Sure, after beating the Caps in our building last season, the chorus of "Ovechkin Sucks!" on the way out was pretty great, but I think most if not all Flyers fans have a decent amount of respect for Ovie. If you don't, there's plenty of room in the comments for your reasoning, and I'll be interested to hear it. But for my money, he's about as good as it gets, and I'm going to enjoy watching him play. Particularly if our D can contain him.
Should be a great game between two teams playing outstanding hockey today.
