There were some heavy storms that were passing through South Philadelphia on Tuesday evening prior to the Phillies tilt with the Padres and Citizens Bank Park was hammered with a TON of water in a very short period of time. The field was flooded, the visitors clubhouse had a waterfall of sorts cascading down it, but most importantly, two of the visiting San Diego players used the opportunity to treat the tarp covering the infield like a giant slip-n-slide.

Watching the above video is certainly more enjoyable than watching the Phillies play as of late. Kids having fun out there.
According to Phillies scribe John Finger, the Padres were chased off by the boring grounds crew. Wonder if they actually said "GET OFF MY LAWN (slash field covered by a piece of strong plastic)!"? So unfun.
As you can see, it's a little wet out there but the team says it should pass and the game should start as scheduled around 7:05 this evening.
