The odd career of former Eagle Corey Simon will reportedly come to an end today, with news out of Tennessee that he'll retire.
Simon was a helluvan Eagle from 2000 to 2005, playing in the Eagles' 4 NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl over that run. In 2003, Simon was a Pro Bowler. After things went sour in Philly due to the Birds' front office not wanting to give Simon a long-term deal (wise personnel decision, that), Simon signed with the Colts, and a string of odd injuries and ailments have dogged him since last year. He spent the 2006 season on the non-football–injury list, and didn't get a Super Bowl ring. Simon signed with the Titans this off-season, but never regained the form we saw for those few years in Philly.
