WATN: Troy Vincent In Hot Water

Strange story out of New Jersey involving a spa owned by former Eagle Troy Vincent.  NFL players own spas?

Former Pennsbury High and NFL star Troy Vincent, his Essence Salon in
Ewing, an employee and his partners were sued in Mercer County Court by
a client who claims she was sexually assaulted by a masseur.

After getting the victim on the table, Jones (defendant) allegedly told her that
the panties were too tight, ripped them off and digitally penetrated
her with force, McHugh (plaintiff) said, adding that Jones then allegedly grabbed
the victim’s wrist and “forced her hand to his penis.”

Jones was indicted by a Mercer County grand jury on July 20, 2007, on
charges of sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and criminal attempt
to commit criminal sexual contact, said Casey DeBlasio, spokesperson
for the prosecutor’s office.

The story goes on to claim the Vincents never performed a background check on the masseur, possibly making them liable for the attack.  The whole thing is strange.  If it's true, should the owner pay through the nose for the actions of one depraved lunatic?

It's been a rough stretch for Troy, who has been gunning to replace the deceased Gene Upshaw as Executive Director of the NFL Players Association.  It seems some people, to put it mildly, disagree with his possible selection to head up the union.  Vincent's journey within the union has taken a decidedly nasty turn going all the way back to April when it was first suggested he could eventually replace Upshaw, and some of the latest allegations make it seem unlikely he ever could get the job.

With all the scrutiny and a possible work stoppage looming in the distance, I'm not sure why he even wants it anymore.  For the full and lengthy story, PFT recommends famed "financial apology" reporter Jason Cole and his summary of the search for a new union chief.
