What the Buck

Share

It wasn't surprising to hear Correll Buckhalter is done for the season:

The Eagles announced on Wednesday morning that RB Correll Buckhalter underwent season-ending surgery on Tuesday, August 23, to repair a torn patellar tendon in his right knee. The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala. Buckhalter was injured in practice on August 5.

This is Buckhalter's second surgery to repair the patellar tendon in his right knee. He was originally injured during the second preseason game of 2004 vs. Baltimore on 8/20/04. He underwent surgery by Dr. Andrews six days later and was placed on the Injured Reserve list.

You have to feel sorry for this guy.  I guess it just wasn't meant to be for Buck in the NFL.  3 knee jobs in your first 5 years.  The Eagles will have to find a back to plug the gap Buck will leave.

Names being thrown out there early on include Dorsey Levens, former Charger Jesse Chapman, former Cowboy and more recently Cardinal Troy Hambrick, as well as Ty Wheatley among others.  Should be interesting to see who they go and get.
