Who Goes To The Pen?

Pat Gillick said Sunday that it's unlikely he will trade one of the Phillies six starters before the start of the season.  Adam Eaton says the team hasn't mentioned a role in the pen for him.

"They haven't talked to me about making me a reliever, so I'm still
a starter as far as I know," Eaton said after allowing eight hits and
three runs in five innings against the Pirates. "I know it's between
Jon and I, obviously. But things are still going to shake out, and
obviously [Gillick] says he can't trade anybody; I don't think a trade
has come up that he wants to do. How about that? I'm sure there is a
lot of interest in any one of our starters, obviously. What happens is
going to happen. I can't predict anything."

Lieber has said he would be open to a move to the bullpen.

"I guess I've got no choice, so . . . I don't know," Lieber said yesterday. "We'll wait until that situation arises. Who knows?"

I give Lieber credit, he could bitch and moan about constantly being on the trading block this spring, but he seems to be handling it okay.
