Grantland's Bill Simmons picks the Sixers to finish dead last this season

You know your team is in for a rough season ahead when two legit NBA analysts have to really get into it when discussing whether or not said team can compete for the WORST RECORD IN THE HISTORY OF THE NBA.

Alas, Grantland's Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose put some serious thought to it, even go so far as to say the 2013-14 Sixers will be in the conversation to compete with the 1972-73 Sixers 9-73 record for much of the season. "They'll be close! They'll rival it!" Rose screams.

Mercifully, they determine this Sixers squad should hit double digit victories.

So there's that.

We took a look back at the '72-'73 Sixers back in 2012 if you'd like to take a trip down (before-you-were-alive-to-form) memory lane.

Simmons and Rose certainly aren't the only people to like the Sixers' chances in the lottery this season.

Also, sweet hat, Bill.
