The Philadelphia Phillies released right fielder Delmon Young this evening after he refused to accept an assignment with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
It's safe to say Young's time in Philly was not very memorable -- at least for any real positive reasons. He appeared in 80 games as a Phillie before being DFA'd to get more PT for Darrin Ruf.
Young finished his Phils career with 8 home runs and 31 base knocks and a batting average of .261 and an OPS of .699.

No word on what his final weight came in at.
Young is now a free agent and will probably end up winning a World Series this fall. Or something.
Thanks for the memories, Delmon.
