Somebody Won a Locker Full of Dikembe Mutombo's Stuff at a ‘Storage Wars' Type Auction

I think anyone who has ever watched the television show "Storage Wars", where kind of insane people bid on the contents of storage units that the renter has failed to make payments on, has always hoped that one day they'd bid on and win a locker belonging to former Philadelphia 76er and television commercial star Dikembe Mutombo. It's only natural to hope.

According to TMZ, some guy in Maryland just hit the Mutombo jackpot:

So you can imagine how pumped he was when he opened the locker and realized the whole thing was packed full of Mutombo items -- signed basketballs, shoes, jerseys,  trading cards and photos of Dikembe with celebs like Michael Jackson and Nelson Mandela.  The locker also contained works of art painted and signed by Mutombo's brother.

The unit apparently belonged to one of Mutombo's brothers and when the winning bidder, Adrian Petrus, attempted to reach out to Dikembe to maybe broker some sort of deal to return the items, he never heard back.

The photo with Michael Jackson is clearly amazing.

This whole tale makes me want to enter the storage war business is for only one reason. The holy grail of storage units has to be out there somewhere. If Allen Iverson ever decided to use a storage unit, of course.
