Andrew Bynum Could Miss the Season Opener, But You Already Knew That

Sixers center Andrew Bynum was finally supposed to practice today. Andrew Bynum did not practice today.

Instead, all involved with the Sixers spoke about his status and discussed whether or not he'll be ready to go for the season opener on Halloween against Andre Iguodala and the Denver Nuggets at the Wells Fargo Center.

Bynum and co. say they haven't ruled out a October 31st start date for the center, but most of the signs point to him missing at least a few games to begin the season. Tony DiLeo says they plan to hold him out of basketball activities until he is pain free.

Is any of this a major cause for concern? Not yet, in my opinion. Ever since we learned of Bynum getting the knee procedure in Germany this summer, some down time was expected.

The first few games of the season are a minor issue when compared to whether this will be a lingering issue all season long or whether or not they just want to make sure he's 100% before he gets rolling for the season.

What's your level of concern at this juncture before the season has even began?
