Celestand: 76ers Loss to Suns most depressing of the season

Jan 3, 2013, 3:09 AM EDT

CSN post-game analyst John Celestand defies you to name as
many members of the Phoenix Suns’ starting lineup as you can. I wouldn’t spend
too much time thinking about it though, because that anonymous bunch already burned
the Sixers 95-89 on Wednesday night.

One night after outplaying the star-studded Los Angeles Lakers,
as our own AU put it, the 76ers suffered what was perhaps an inevitable
letdown. Celestand was beside himself after the game however, going so far as to claim (with
all due respect!) that a date against now 12-21 Phoenix should have been a

Jrue Holiday stepped up, as per usual, delivering a
triple-double – 16, 10, and 10. Unfortunately that didn’t quite jive with his
six turnovers, while perhaps the biggest problem is his 16 points was a team
high. After the game, coach Doug Collins harped on his team’s inconsistency.

The good news is the Sixers’ endless west-coast trip finally
reaches its conclusion this weekend. The bad news: consecutive dates in
Oklahoma City and San Antonio.
