Happening Elsewhere: Kenny Britt Weaves Through the NJ PD Defense

Share

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt might receive acclaim and adulation for his ability to run a 4.4 40, but when he was driving 71 miles per hour in the 50-MPH-limit streets of his Bayonne, NJ hometown, the police were less impressed. The cops attempted to corner Britt, but he quickly read their cover-one formation and weaved his way through. Eventually Britt and passenger Jerel Lord were seen exiting the vehicle, and were apprehended. The former first-rounder now faces charges of eluding an officer, lying to an officer hindering apprehension, and  obstructing government function.

Here's hoping the details, no doubt to be released sooner or later, are as funny as they were in the Miguel Cabrera arrest—but maybe a little less sad and disturbing, as well.
