Who Said It Better: Charles Shackleford or Yogi Berra

Share

Our resident Notre Dame lover, Nick Menta, helped put together a joyful photo gallery of centers of Philadelphia 76ers' past. This, of course, featured the one and only Charles Shackleford, famous for a most Yogi Berra of quotes.

From the original Shack's Hoopedia wiki page:

Shackleford is sometimes remembered for telling a reporter after an NC
State basketball game that "I can shoot with my left hand, I can shoot
with my right hand, I'm amphibious."

In fact, Yogi Berra may have said something quite similar, which I just happened to see a couple of lovely ladies on the Internet discuss earlier in the day (video below).

He hits from both sides of the plate. He's amphibious.
-Yogi Berra

I think the declaration of "I'm amphibious." is just a bit stronger. I mean, he's calling himself amphibious, not someone else. Baller.

Anyway, go back to not doing any work now. You can leave early if you want. Tell your boss I said it was okay.
